El carácter autónomo y autopoiético del sistema educativo / Un constructo teórico a partir de la teoría de sistemas

Abstract

El trabajo incorpora algunos presupuestos teórico-metodológicos de la teoría de los sistemas sociales autopoiéticos, la cual permite describir la dinámica de operación de dichos sistemas y fundamentar de esta manera su autonomía y la posibilidad que tienen de producirse y reproducirse a sí mismos sin determinación del entorno; este planteamiento está en correspondencia con la necesidad de incorporar nuevas herramientas teóricas, conceptuales y metodológicas para analizar la sociedad de hoy. En este marco, el propósito del artículo es mostrar la elaboración de un constructo teórico que permite analizar y proponer la autonomía y autopoiesis del sistema educativo a partir de considerar la pretensión de la teoría de sistemas de Niklas Luhmann (primer apartado del artículo), de emplear cinco conceptos que pueden considerarse básicos indicando su expresión en este sistema (segundo apartado del trabajo) para finalizar con la relación que puede establecerse entre ellos (a manera de conclusión, tercer apartado). Este artículo se deriva de la tesis doctoral “La unidad de la diferencia inclusión/ exclusión: un análisis en la Universidad Intercultural del Estado de México en el marco de la atención educativa a la diversidad”.

Abstract: The paper includes theoretical and methodological assumptions regarding the theory of autopoietic social systems, enabling one to describe the operating dynamics of these systems and thus justify their autonomy and the possibility of their occurring and reproducing without the determination of the environment. This approach is in line with the need to incorporate new theoretical, conceptual and methodological tools for analyzing today’s society. Within this framework, the purpose of the article is to show the development of a theoretical construct for analyzing and proposing the autonomy and autopoiesis of the education system by considering the attempts of Niklas Luhmann’s systems theory (first paragraph of the article) to use five concepts that may be regarded as fundamental, by indicating their expression in this system (second section of the paper). The article ends with the relationship that may be established between them (by way of a conclusion, third paragraph).
